TUTORIAL

 Hello readers!

I have been working with a classmate called Naia. We have done tutorials about applications we have used around the year with google presentations. We chose how to make a quiz with hot potatoes.
Do you know what is Hot Potatoes? Hot potatoes suite includes six applications, enabling you to create interactive multiple-choice, short-answer, jumbled-sentence, crossword, matching/ordering and gap-fill exercises for the World Wide Web. Hot Potatoes is freeware, and you may use it for any purpose or project you like. It is not open-source. The Java version provides all the features found in the windows version, except: you can not upload to hotpotatoes.net and you can't export a SCORM object from Java Hot Potatoes.

In hot potatoes you have different choices: Jcross, Jcloze, JMatch, Jmix and Jquiz. In this occasion we have chosen Jquiz.

Then we did a Google presentation with google drive. Google Docs, Sheets, Slides and Forms are a free, web-based word processor, a spreadsheet program, a presentation program and survey program respectively, all part of a software office suite offered by Google within its Google Drive service. The suite allows users to create and edit documents online while collaborating with other users in real-time.

Here you have the work we have done. I hope you would like it!

Dotsub

              Hello readers,

In some days  I have been doing a transcription to a video called When I was your man. This transcriptions I have done in a website called Dotsub. In this website you can download a song from YouTube and then put the transcriptions in any language. I have done transcriptions in three different languages. English, Basque and Spanish.
I have chosen this song called 'when I was your man' because is a song that I like very much since the first day I listened to. In addition, Bruno Mars, the singer of  'when I was your man' is a singer that I like very much. When I had to chose a song to do this work, I knew that I would do a song of Bruno Mars but I did not know what song. So finally I chose 'When I was your man'.
Peter Gene Hernandez (born October 8, 1985), professionally known by his stage name Bruno Mars, is an American singer, songwriter, record producer, voice actor, and choreographer. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii by a family of musicians, Mars began making music at a young age and performed in various musical venues in his hometown throughout his childhood. He graduated from high school and moved to Los Angeles to pursue a musical career. Mars produced songs for other artists, co-founding the production team The Smeezingtons.

He became recognized as a solo artist after lending his vocals to the songs "Nothin' on You" by B.o.B, and "Billionaire" by Travie McCoy, which were worldwide successes, and for which he co-wrote the hooks. His debut studio album, Doo-Wops & Hooligans (2010), was anchored by the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart-topping singles "Just the Way You Are" and "Grenade", as well as the number-five single "The Lazy Song". His second album, Unorthodox Jukebox, was released in 2012, peaked at number one in the United States. The album spawned the international singles "Locked Out of Heaven", "When I Was Your Man" and "Treasure".

HUMAN RIGHTS

                                                          HUMAN RIGHTS

What are human rights? Human rights can mean many things. You can ask twenty people and you will get twenty different opinions. Humans are members of the homo sapiens species; a man, woman or child; a person. Rights are things to which you are entitled or allowed; freedoms that are guaranteed. So, human rights are the rights you have simply because you are human.

Although ideas of rights and liberty have existed in some form for much of human history, there is agreement that the earlier conceptions do not closely resemble the modern conceptions of human rights. According to Jack Donnelly, in the ancient world, "traditional societies typically have had elaborate systems of duties... conceptions of justice, political legitimacy, and human flourishing that sought to realize human dignity, flourishing, or well-being entirely independent of human rights. These institutions and practices are alternative to, rather than different formulations of, human rights". The history of human rights can be traced to past documents, particularly Constitution of Medina (622), Al-Risalah al-Huquq (659-713), Magna Carta (1215), the English Bill of Rights (1689), the French Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen (1789), and the Bill of Rights in the United States Constitution (1791). The modern sense of human rights can be traced toRenaissance Europe and the Protestant Reformation, alongside the disappearance of the feudal authoritarianism and religious conservativism that dominated the Middle Ages. One theory is that human rights were developed during the early Modern period, alongside the European secularization of Judeo-Christian ethics. The most commonly held view is that the concept of human rights evolved in the West, and that while earlier cultures had important ethical concepts, they generally lacked a concept of human rights. For example, McIntyre argues there is no word for "right" in any language before 1400. Medieval charters of liberty such as the English Magna Carta were not charters of human rights, rather they were the foundation and constituted a form of limited political and legal agreement to address specific political circumstances, in the case of Magna Carta later being recognised in the course of early modern debates about rights. One of the oldest records of human rights is the statute of Kalisz (1264), giving privileges to the Jewish minority in the Kingdom of Poland such as protection from discrimination and hate speech. Samuel Moyn suggests that the concept of human rights is intertwined with the modern sense of citizenship, which did not emerge until the past few hundred years.
